This temple is famous for Japanese wisterias!
We can enjoy cherry blossom for only a week from the end of March to the beginning of April, but we can enjoy other flowers from the end of April. One of the flowers is Japanese wisterias (fuji in Japanese).
Fujiidera temple, the name of the temple "fuji" means wisterias, is placed in the south of Osaka, and holds flower festival from April to May every year. It is also famous for a statue of Buddha which has more than one thousand hands and is designated as a national treasure. Usually the statue is hidden, but the temple open the statue on 18th every month.
