Nagaoka-tenjin shrine

Shrine with azaleas in the west part of Kyoto.

About 20 minutes by train from the center of Kyoto, there is a shrine named Nagaoka-tenjin. It has a big pond and you can enjoy red color azaleas around this pond from April to May. It's good to just walk around the pond, or you can visit shrine building to pray for a god, especially the god is famous for academic achievement.
