Shinkansen

When I took the JR rapid train from Kyoto to Osaka, two foreign tourists asked me if the train was going to Himeji station. I said "Yes", but their tickets were for a bullet train (Shinkansen) that had just left 1 minute earlier. The Shinkansen platform is a bit far from the rapid train platform, but they didn't know that. It takes about 50 minutes from Kyoto to Himeji by Shinkansen, but it takes about 1 hour and a half by rapid train. I recommended them to take the rapid train they were on because it was the fastest way at that point. Please be careful when you need to use the platform for the Shinkansen.
